The ‘E’ in C.A.S.E: Understanding Elastomers

With over five decades in the specialty chemicals industry, TSE Industries leads the way as a premier manufacturer and supplier of high-quality elastomers. Our state-of-the-art facilities and cutting-edge technologies help us engineer custom elastomer formulations, each one crafted to meet the unique needs of our clients. What Are Elastomers? Elastomers are polymers that exhibit both viscosity and elasticity, a property known as viscoelasticity. These materials can stretch significantly and return to their original shape. The molecules of elastomers are held together by weak intermolecular forces, giving them a low Young’s modulus and high failure strain. As a result, this unique…

The ‘S’ in C.A.S.E: Understanding Sealants

In the realm of specialty chemicals, the acronym C.A.S.E represents Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants, and Elastomers. Each plays a vital role in various industries. These components are essential in creating durable products that withstand harsh environments and provide long-lasting performance. Sealing compounds are crucial across many industries. They prevent gas or liquid from passing into, out of, or through materials. By creating airtight or waterproof seals, they ensure the integrity of structures. Sealants come in various forms, including physically reactive, non-reactive, and chemically reactive types. Each offers unique properties and applications. For example, reactive formulations cure when exposed to moisture or…

The ‘A’ in C.A.S.E: Understanding Adhesives

In the world of specialty chemicals, the acronym C.A.S.E represents Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants, and Elastomers. These encompass a diverse range of materials vital for various industries. Adhesives, often referred to as glue, cement, or paste, are essential components. They hold multiple substrates together. Unlike coatings, adhesives contain a binding agent that effectively bonds different materials. This provides distinct benefits over traditional fastening methods. At TSE Industries, we recognize the importance of adhesives in facilitating seamless bonding solutions across a multitude of applications. From textiles to furniture to industrial settings, adhesives play a pivotal role in joining materials together. Whether it’s…

The ‘C’ in C.A.S.E: Understanding Coatings

In the realm of specialty chemicals, the acronym C.A.S.E holds significant weight. C.A.S.E represents Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants, and Elastomers, encompassing a broad spectrum of materials utilized across diverse industries. The “C” in C.A.S.E, Coatings, includes a vast array of materials that protect and enhance the performance of various products and surfaces. Coatings form a protective layer on surfaces, serving multiple purposes such as preventing corrosion, providing insulation, enhancing aesthetics, and improving durability. Industrial coatings protect equipment, machinery, and infrastructure from corrosion, abrasion, and wear, extending their lifespan and lowering maintenance costs. These coatings serve industries such as theming, infrastructure, construction,…

What Does C.A.S.E. Stand For?

In the ever-evolving world of the chemical market, understanding the key components of C.A.S.E. – Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants, and Elastomers – is essential for any industry professional. These components are fundamental to a variety of industries. They play a critical role in a wide range of applications. These include automotive coatings and industrial adhesives. Coatings are used to protect surfaces and enhance their appearance, while adhesives are essential for bonding materials together. Nationwide Training Documentary on Retaining Talent and Second Chance Hiring

As a solution to the labor shortage businesses faced in 2021 and 2022, we explored an untapped community who were eager for employment through a Second Chance Hiring program. These individuals had a criminal past that would most likely make them ineligible for a job due to background checks. To address this problem, we began partnering with Pinellas Ex-offender Re-entry Coalition (PERC) for an On-the-Job Training (OJT) program to prepare this population for work. As a result, the program delivered success from the start. A Pioneering Partnership with PERC TSE became the…
